Duxford airshow 3 Sep 2011
«

I am just back from a visit to the Duxford airhow of 3 Sep 2011.
I have made quite a lot of images and for those interested here are just a few I made.
I don't know if any other Member of our forum has taken also photos at Duxford with much better camera equipment. If so I am looking forward to see these on the Forum.
I am just an amateur using an old Nikon D70S with only a relatively short telelens that is unsuitable for making really good in-flight shots.
I can show more if wanted!!!

Here are ten more shots. I have in total a few hundred images, but I'll try to make a nice selection.
More tomorrow//

The show was to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Spitfire, so here they are as displayed at the static line.
You had to pay four pounds extra to visit the static show, but this was money well spent!

Here is a last set of Spitfire images and yes, flight from Rotterdam Airport to Duxford and back again was made in DC-3 PH-PBA from Dutch Dakota Association. They had organized this nice flying day!
More to follow tomorrow on other types present at the static and flown at the airshow.

This is a Buchon during an Open Day in original Spanish AF colours and markings from late fifties/early sixties when the type was still operational. It is a shot from that good old black & white period!!!!!!!
