Very interesting plane.
I've built one in 1/48 scale (Matchbox) some 16 years ago... and have presently one to build in 1/72 scale (Revell, ex-Monogram). I don't like the markings proposed by Revell...

Cheers,
Jicehem

And in 1/72 scale (Airfix base) an AD-4N of the Armée de l'air.

No.1, you may want to include the newer Skyraider designations in your illustrations. In 1962, the USN adopted a revised aircraft designation system. Thus, the AD-4 became the A-1D, the AD-5 became the A-1E, the AD-5W became the EA-1E, the AD-5Q became the EA-1F, the AD-5N became the A-1G, the AD-6 became the A-1H, and the AD-7 became the A-1J. Some refer to the AD-4N as the A-1D, but I have no reference of this.
When I flew the Skyraider, the 1st SOS had A-1E, A-1G, A-1H, and A-1J

For sure this will be used like that! This is work in progress and I will use names as you state. AD-5Q is little doubtful for me and I would be gratefull if there is available any technical info about the type.
