Warplane 02- Hawker Hunter
After the first book of the serie about the Martin Mariner that is successful, Nico Braas and Srecko Bradic are giving us with that new book about the Hawker Hunter a new “winner”.
The book tells the story of one of the best (actual time) and successful fighter ever. The Hunter was well born, and had performances superior to expected.
The 48 pages are rich of the history of the aircraft and contains lot of interesting (and for many of them, unknown) photos from aircrafts of the different air forces that used the Hunter. There are also 6,5 pages of nice drawings realized by Srecko Bradic, depicting aircrafts of many air forces in accurate markings.awkerH There is also a presentation of Sidney Camm, the conceptor, and Neville Duke that was the test pilot.
The book is really pleasant to read and gives an exciting story. The different versions of the hunter are described; but also the nations that used that aircraft and which quantities were used. There is also a chapter consacred to the Hunters at war; a production list of all Hunter types; photos of the cockpit and also original sketches from the Hunter FGA mk.58 manual!
It took me only two evenings to fully read the book… Not that is a “short” book, but simply it’s an excellent one and it was so pleasant that I had no reason to take more time…
An excellent documentation source not only for the modeler, but for all the fans of the jets of that time.
Highly recommended!!! Get your sample here!
