R-27R missiles

Without armament, air forces would be nothing but expensive flying clubs. One powerful missiles used on MiG and Sukhoi fighters are their well known medium range R-27 and one of the best scaled sample coming from Eduard.

Just some time ago their growing Brassin range become rich for one new product, Soviet air to air missile R-27R/R1. It coming in nicely packed black box and inside is parts enough for the four missiles. All parts are packed in transparent plastic bags, protected with two sponge blocks. Parts in resin is four missile body, front stabilizers, two types of wing pylons, photo etched set with painted parts and small instruction leaflets.

Work with set is more then easy. In almost all known cases body are in white color so logical choice is to paint them in white. There is some variations in the stabilizers color but need to check this out in regard to particular sample you would like to made. In this way some parts are not necessary to be used like the red painted parts PE 1 (you can paint raised elements on missile body in grey or white). Eduard also provide separate heads for the missiles and you should cut top of the missile body to use them. Parts are very precisely made, with except of the etched parts, you almost need to cement to fix small parts. Stabilizers are after removing from mold base and clean up, just put into square slot on missile body and hold very tight inside, you just need to take care about the angles.
