Heinkel He 280 Eduard 1/48
Last period Eduard make good job when release some of their older project but from my point of view, also so attractive as those just fresh released. Some time ago, we had seen again, in new box, kit of Heinkel He 280. This machine was made in prototypes only and that was early German attempt to make fighter jet, He 280 took in air in 1942.
This kit is belong to old school of model design, simple parts but precise and with all necessary details. Scale is 1/48 and the stock code is 8068. Released as ProfiPACK, this mean it contains extra elements and there is etched set and mask. Main plastic parts are on three grey plastic fret and one transparent, with kit come nice full color instruction and decals.
All cockpit interior is in the RLM 66 and this is among the first thing you have to do. I have just cement few parts and paint interior. The same interior have not so much parts and build goes fast. Please note to add a lot of nose weight to manage kit to stand properly when it get finished. On fuselage side comes wings, each consist of two parts. Note that kit provides options to use different type of engines and I have select samples used in 1942 (which finally crashed in 1943).
Kit demands so little filler, parts fits really good. Finally work before painting was add cockpit canopy with mask on it and put landing gear. As well entire kit is in RLM 02 Grau (no matter which sample select), no need to finish landing gear separately and then to add it. Not so many decals are to be used with kit, just national insignia, register letter and Heinkel inscription on nose.
From start to finish I complete this kit in three days. So easy kit to build and with more or less good accuracy. Big thanks to Eduard for sample kit and you can find sample here!
