WWI German lozenges authentic colours
Amongst other things I saw in the Brussels Air Museum, Belgium, is the work actually made for what concerns the restorations on the Halberstadt of the museum and I discussed with a member of the museum on that subject.

The lozenges fabric of the wings are actually removed (the state of that fabric was really bad). But removing that fabric, the workers of the museum made an amazing discovery: the longerons were reinforced by bands of lozenge fabric; that were thus UNDER the fabric wings!

So you can actually see at Brussels some bands of lozenge that are original ones, and that have never seen the daylight since 1917 or 1918!!!

Probably there are the most accurate lozenge colors that can be found around the world…
