Bf 109G splinter mask
Alongside their excellent new series of Bf 109G plastic kits, Eduard also has delivered on the market other products and among them is this very useful camouflage masking. Since the splinter camouflage on the Bf 109 is repeated on each aircraft, there is a real need for such a product, especially if you plan to build a few of them.
There were three patterns and Eduard has released all of them, Messerschmitt pattern (EX509), Erla pattern (EX510) and WNF pattern (EX511). All three come in a transparent plastic case, with two sheets of masking paper and instructions how to use it. I use here Messerschmitt pattern on the Zvezda kit of Bf 109G.
First of all, you need to paint basic paint and this is RLM 76. Then first top color, I painted RLM 75. It is up to you to decide the order of paints used, mask includes all areas for masking so if you decide to use first RLM 74 as top cover, then you use other shapes from leaflet. The work is so easy, put it in its position, slightly tighten to surface and spray over it. When it is dry, remove mask and continue on other works.
Excellent and very suitable product! Great thanks to Eduard for this sample product.
