IJN Steel belts

For the last few years Eduard has delivered to the market a number of seat belt sets, made in various technology and I have released that they repeated some areas and some not. And I just wanted to start to complain that they should add some other countries like Soviet Union, France, Japan, when I received info that they are just to release a set of seat belts made in new technology, very thin steel.

Since I have number of Japanese kits in my collection, the release of seat belts set for the Imperial Japanese Navy is more then welcome and I do believe that many of you welcome these products. What we have presented here are seat belt sets for scales 1/72, 1/48 and 1/32 and stock codes are 73038, 49099 and 32874. Content is identical, only difference is in the number of available sets within the metal sheet. Interesting to note is that the type and shape of seat belts depends from manufacturer so there is Mitsubishi type, Nakajima type and Kawanishi type. I decided to test one on the kit of Kawanishi N1K kit in 1/72 scale.

Belts for Kawanishi have one ’Y’ shaped belt at the top, one double on the right side and single belt on left side. It is the most complex belt in this set, Mitsubishi has two bottom and one on top and Nakajima has just two belts at bottom of seat. Work with belts is more then easy, just cut them from the sheet and place in position. They are so easy to shape so you can fix first one point on seat and then bend it into shape or you can shape the belt before fixing and then just put in position and fix. Since they are painted this makes the entire job very easy. Result is very realistic.

An excellent product and I give my top recommendation! Big thanks to Eduard for providing me sample of product!
