Eduard Fw 190A 1/72
A few years ago Eduard released an excellent and very detailed kit of the Fw 190 in 1/48 scale. Impressed with its features, I was always wondering when they would release a smaller version of the kit. And this happened just a few months ago, they made and released a brand new kit of the Fw 190.
It is a real artwork of kit design-in two frets of grey plastic and one fret of transparent plastic, they include parts for the various versions of the kit and this definitely indicates the brilliant future of this kit. The future will for sure bring many various versions of the kit, with many markings. This first kit they have released has stock code 70111 and as usual, it was released as a Profi Pack. The main feature of Profi Pack series is that they include etched parts, many are painted, mask for transparent parts and very rich decals with several options. At the same time as they released the main kit, Eduard also delivered overtrees, this is kit but just plastic parts. This idea is very good, you can download any instruction manual from Eduard’s web site and use it for the kit build and many of us have for sure in their scrap box many decals from past builds. So the idea is a very good one from Eduard.
Build of the kit is the easiest possible. Parts are so good and precise that you can make this kit blindfolded. Everything is simplified but at the same time very detailed. Dozen of etched parts in the cockpit give an excellent look and thanks to the wide cockpit, details are clearly visible no matter is the cockpit is open or closed. The entire build goes fast, from the start to the painting, this kit can be ready in maximum two days.
The crown of the Eduard kits definitely presented in the Royal Class kits. The new Fw 190 from Eduard follows this line and I think that Royal Class Fw 190 in 1/72 scale is possibly the best Royal Class they have produced. So whats inside- first of all plastic parts for four kits, very wide decal sheet, resin parts, etched parts, additional flaps etched set and many options to finish kit (you will for sure need overtrees after completing this box). What makes this product special is a beer glass with printed unit emblem and a small mount with a piece of original part from Fw 190A-8/R2, crashed after battle.
Alongside these kits Eduard has released many Brassin sets for this kit and with the use of them, you can reach a really amazing final result.
Big thanks to Eduard for samples of products. Order your sample here, here and here!
