DeLuxe Glue

Let’s go back to the roots and principal material we need for our hobby- glue! Today there are so many manufacturers of glue and many are good—it’s simply impossible to select the best. So here are two excellent glues and I am sure you will not be without satisfaction if you decide to use them.

Both are produced by Deluxe Material from the UK, one is Plastic Magic and the other one is Rocket Plastic Glue. Plastic Magic comes in a glass bottle, 50ml size and it is dedicated to a wide range of materials- styrene, polyester, PVC, butyrate, polycarbonate, ABS and plastic card. I have used it on plastic kit material made of styrene. Tools you need for its application are brush or pin flow. It is a very fast glue, it cures after just a few seconds and leaves no trace. Of course, if glue exceed out of the join line, it will etch plastic but this will be solved with fine grit sanding paper.

Rocket Plastic Glue is a slow action liquid glue and it comes in a plastic bottle, on the back side is a stick needle for application. Work is as easy as with the glue above- push needle over the bottle top and slide over join line. No need to make pressure with fingers on the bottle, glue flows without any problem. It takes longer to cure and it is good for larger parts and parts where you need some time to adjust position. Good thing is that even if you work all day, the needle will not stick.
