Eduard Spitfire XVI detail set
With the release of the Spitfire XVI Limited Edition, Eduard proposes also photoetched sheets that will enhance your models.
Ref. 48849: Spitfire Mk.XVI landing flaps
The sheet provides you all the elements needed to lower (“open”) the flaps of your Spitfire. The parts proposed are very fine and stunning. A great attention will be needed for the manipulation and forming of the parts, but result will be simply fantastic. I particularly like the templates that permits to form correctly the flaps, to fit without any problem on the kit’s wings.
Take all the time needed, be patient and zen, and you will obtain a splendid result!
Ref. 48850: Spitfire Mk.XVI surface panels
Excellent idea too is to propose that sheet of panels, that will replace the panels of the kit. The photoetched ones are very fine as can be expected with PE elements from Eduard. And on that sheet too, there is templates that will permit you to properly and perfectly remove the kit’s panels. Those templates are to be placed on the panel to remove; you fix them with masking tape and then you remove the panel with your scribing tool or a good cutter. Next you have just to place the photoetched replacement panel…
Those two references are very useful and a must for those of you that will to detail the Spitfires XVI. The kits are already splendid; but with those add-ons you will simply build jewels…
