New bases for aircrafts
A Belgian photograph and modeler, Frédéric Mertès have had the great idea to create bases for aircrafts that are, in fact, different airbase tarmacs. He releases those bases at different scales: 1/32, 1/48, 1/72 and even 1/144!!!
I have found the 1/144 airbases on the RetrokiT stand at the Ransart expo; but have also had the opportunity to discuss with Frédéric that was also present.
The base are in solid paper, glued on cadapac So there are usable “as is”; no need to glue them on another support. To note the possibility to ask for the tarmac without cadapac if you prefer.
I choosed for my 1/144 kit the “Airbase Tarmac – Model B”. At 1/144 scale you have two bases in a plastic bag; that makes excellent bases at a real bargain price.
To illustrate the presentation of that product, I made some photos with my MiG-21’s: excellent!
