K-Dog painting sold to Dutch ex F-86K pilot!
At the 2 November 2011, the acrylic painting ‘K-Dog’ was purchased by mr. Gerrit Jacobs. Mr. Jacobs is a former- Koningklijke Luchtmacht (KLu) pilot with hundreds of flying hours on the North American F-86K Sabre as used in the late fifties and early sixties. Mr. Jacobs started his career as a fighter pilot on the Gloster Meteor. Later he flew the Hawker Hunter and as an instructor the Fokker S-14 Machtrainer and Lockheed T-33 T-Bird. Although retired for many years now and eighty years old, he still is an active light plane pilot and fully qualified to take practical flight examinations.
Mr. Jacobs was very impressed when he saw the painting ‘K-Dog’ made by Srecko Bradic and purchased it to hang in his living room.
‘It is a very nice memory to my times as a fighter pilot every time I have a look at it‘, he said!
