MiG-21MF and SMT exhaust nozzle

[dropcap]I[/dropcap]t was normal to expect that after delivery of Eduard outstanding plastic kit of MiG-21 we should seen many after market products, mainly from the same manufacturer. The fact that their kit of MiG-21MF was followed by MiG-21SMT give a little more space for new products. One of this set is the engine exhaust for this two Eduard kits.

This product name is MiG-21MF/SMT Exhaust nozzle and item stock number is 648 027. Product is from the Brassin series of product and feature of this series is that most of the parts are from resin with few part in etched metal. In this case, after open of the plastic box you will find inside seven excellent mold resin parts and one etched part. And believe or not, if you use fast drying acrylic paint you can complete this in 30 minutes maximum!!!

Resin material formulation allow it to be very easy cut from mold base and to be with easy sand and paint. Small leaflet inside give exploded view of all parts and easy guide how to assembly this. Please be careful with part R7 (resin), it have very thin stick and you need to use fast electric round saw to remove it from base or if you work manually first to trim and remove resin feed channels for molding and then to cut it from base. My only negative point is that this set does not have any paint guide but this should not be a problem as well it is designed to be used alongside with plastic kit and inside plastic kit you have detailed explained painting for this section.
