Jets vol 2
[dropcap]J[/dropcap]ean Claude Mermet did it again and his latest work excellent in every aspect! While the first part of Jets is focused on the general listing of all types of jets developed during the WW2 with their brief histories, second part is more focused on operational combat use of the pioneer combat jets. No doubts that this volume is filled with German types as well participation of other nations types in operational service was more then symbolical.
Types analyses and presented inside was Arado Ar 234, Heinkel He 162, Messerschmitt Me 163, Messerschmitt Me 262 and very interesting Me 262 in post war use, Soviet Union and CSSR (with some of very rare images published). Content is arranged in best possible fashion and there is listed units where the particular aircraft was used, combat mission, aircraft description and all of this packed with excellent archive images. Interesting to note is that many of images are new and this make this publication even more interesting. Basic info are:
