Eduard Grumman Hellcat 8433
About the Eduard Grumman Hellcat kit in 1/48 I can’t say anything other but this is one of the best model they have released last time. Its major feature is the simplicity of build and in other hand it is also very detailed and can be made into the top winning model. Since first kit relase, Eduard has delivered a number of the various boxing, either as Weekend, Dual Combo or Profi pack edition. One of the Spring 2009 releases is the Eduard Hellcat, Weekend Edition. Sample kit have item number 8433.
Subject of this kit pack is the another US Navy air ace, Lt. William C. Moseley. His Hellcat was F6F-3, BuNo 40090, from VF-1, USS Yorktown, June 1944. Machine is provided as replacement for the previous machine lost in combat with Japanes Rei Shiki fighters. Feature of this machine, presented in kit, is that it still wear ferry numbers hand brushed on the engine cowling and it used with the regular unit code and insignia. I know for only one image of this machine, show on the deck of flat top, and all machine is very dirt and wethered.
Kit is very easy to build and some more time is need for the wethering, as well it is important for this sample machine. Overal result could be very impressive and this very realistic kit can be built within one week without problem. If you did not make any wethered kit before, this is nice starter kit, but note that this product offer much more.
I warmly recomend this kit and you can get it direct here
